The Louvre fastidiously holds on its top spot as the planet’s most visited museum with an incredible 9.3 million annual visitors. A majority of visitors are international tourists, who come here to check out its fascinating collection of permanent exhibits. We all know this is where Leonardo Da Vinci’s masterpiece Mona Lisa is housed along with Aphrodite’s ‘Venus de Milo.’ It also houses the planet’s most flawless diamond, the ‘Regent.’ The Louvre features about 70,000 artworks spread across a space of 650,00 square feet.
