16. Milan, Italy

Milan, a metropolis of northern Italy, the capital of Lombardy, and is visited by 9.19 million tourists annually. It is the most populous city in the country next to Rome. Don’t let the urban atmosphere confuse you, this city has a lot to offer including the world famous shopping district the Golden Fashion Quad, the Isola design district, the Wes Anderson-designed nightclub The Duomo, the La Scala opera house, the Brera Art Gallery and various museums where one can see Leonardo da Vinci’s famous “The Last Supper” and other works.

15. Palma de Mallorca, Spain

This both the largest city and the capital of the reportedly autonomous community of Spain’s Balearic Islands. 9.3 million visitors from all over come to this spot on the south coast of Mallorca situated on the Bay of Palma. Visit the Old City. It’s a virtual maze of streets indicative of the metropolis’ Arab past. See the famous Convent of the Cathedral and the historic Banys Àrabs (Arab Baths), and the flora and fauna of the gardens of Ca’n Fontirroig. Don’t miss the famous La Seu cathedral either.
