Mandarin Oriental Jumeira

This beachfront hotel, designed by Jeffrey Wilkes, will open by May this year. It’s the city’s first MO hotel. The place is highlighted by chic, California-impacted aesthetics. It’s six new lounges and restaurants include Portuguese chef Jose Avillez’ first international restaurant named Tasca. It will also include the Japanese steakhouse Netsu from restaurateur and Nobu-trained chef Ross Shonhan. There’s also a 6,651+ -square-foot spa where guests can enjoy a Nomadic Sensory Journey, which includes Emirati drumming as part of the process.

Taj JLT and Taj Exotica Resort & Spa

Opening dates are sketchy but everything will be ready by the end of the year. The Vivanta by Taj in Jumeirah Lakes Towers will reportedly be the first in the Middle East and could be first of the new Taj properties to open. There’ll also be the five-star, 325-room, Taj Exotica Resort & Spa located on Palm Jumeirah. India’s Taj Group already operates two locations in Dubai including the popular Taj Dubai near the famous Burj Khalifa.

  1. Hello! Yes, I was once surprised how much attention this place gets until I started writing about it. One of my high school girlfriends has a younger sister who now works there and she enjoys it. Thanks for your comment and for reading our stuff!

  2. Dubai travel hotspot. If you ask someone now where they want to travel. Dubai and Maldives are the first in mind
