15Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands

Beautiful Virgin Gorda is reported to be both the third-largest and the second-most populous of all the British Virgin Islands. Past visitors say it’s very easy to crank up the romance here. If you have saved some money take a private sunset sail.

If not, then sign on for a special sunset catamaran cruise complete with snorkeling time. You must see the isle’s famous natural landmark, The Baths, too. It consists of time-smoothed granite boulders that form arches, pools and even atmospheric tunnels.

  1. Hello!
Well, you never know what could happen between now and then maybe you’ll meet someone before then or maybe you might even meet someone there! Thanks for reading my stuff!

  2. I’ve been to a few islands on your list. They each had a special feel and appeal. (St. Bart’s, Bonaire, St. Lucia, Islamorada and Mackinac Island). They are all worth seeing, and more than once. I enjoyed your list. Thank you.

  3. Hello,
Yes, you are correct. Mind you, this article was written quite some time before that and it does take some time to book a trip so you really don’t need to worry. Having been born there I know how important the tourist industry is to many people living there now. There’s no need to permanently write off my birthplace.
    Thanks for reading my stuff!

  4. I want Togo to one of these places for my honeymoon! My fiancé and I agave never been anywhere like this! Please send me information!

  5. Hi!
Sorry, but right now there is no one to send you detailed information on traveling here. I am only the writer. Thanks for your comment and thanks for reading my stuff.

  6. Go to Palawan, I suggest. Watch abiut this place on YouTube to get more info. You won’t regret it. I’ve been there twice. Amampulo Island is the best, but most expensive part of Palawan. High profile people from diffrent parts of the planet go there to chill and relax incognito to avoid paparazzi. Bill Gates and his family visited the island in 2015.

  7. Hi!
Yes! I wrote about the place somewhere but I don’t recall where to be honest lol Sometimes places get bumped off lists if they have already been on too many others, in fact. Thanks for reading my stuff!

  8. Hi!
Well, going by your post I would have to guess Capri. I like a lady with a sense of humor. Your man should be very happy to go there with you.
Thanks for your comment and thanks for reading my stuff!

  9. Hi!
I believe that location makes the Top 25 but did not make the top 16 this year. Thanks for your comment and for your support!

  10. Is there a Reason why San Juan Puerto Rico was not listed on the 16th places to visit?
Puerto Rico is a beautiful unique Island full of gorgeous places. Sites. Lots of beautiful site seeing. Lots of beaches. Forests. Canyons

Culebra Island .. Vieques Island are also in Puero Rico Terretory…thanks…

  11. Hi!
I am only the writer. I do not often get to have the final say on the lists. I agree that it is a beautiful place.

My guess is that while you are right about Puerto Rico, it may have been dropped out of the top 16 because the list already included a few US islands. If you’re interested, I know PR has been included in other articles. Thanks for the comment and thanks for reading my stuff!

  12. The Casino on Catalina Island is not a casino for gambling. Please fact check your articles before posting.

  13. The Casino on Catalina island is not for gambling like you stated in your article. Fact check before posting.

  14. Hello!
You are correct. You can’t legally place bets at this casino. The mention of gambling was meant as a joke, of course. It’s not Las Vegas!
It was simply an attempt at humor. “Casino” is Italian for “gathering place”, I believe. There is no need for any fact-checking.
Still, if you didn’t get the joke, we should probably change it. Perhaps another reader might have missed the joke too…especially since the word was meant to appear in quotation marks that disappeared in the editing process. Thanks for your concern.

  15. Hi!
I am assuming since you used the word “swipe” that you were on your phone. I am guessing it was an ad. It may have been some place in the Mediterranean. I do not see those ads as I am only the writer and I work on an actual computer. Thanks for visiting, at any rate!

  16. Hi!
Thanks for coming to our defense but the truth is I was just trying to be clever and somewhere in there the quotation marks were lost, and the joke did not work. My bad. I rewrote the sentence free of the attempted joke. Thanks for your support, at any rate!

  17. Hello!
Yes, Eagle’s Bay! It sounds familiar. As I recall it’s in a national park. No doubt that would have made the Top 20! The beaches and water there in DR are generally quite beautiful!
THanks for your comment and thanks for reading my stuff!

  18. F*ckin’ awesome things here. I am very happy to look your article. Thank you so much and i am having a look ahead to touch you. Will you please drop me a e-mail?

  19. Hi!
Yes, Maldives is very nice! I know I have included Maldives in somewhere, for sure! It may not have made the cut for this list, but I know if you do a search, you will find it elsewhere for sure! Thanks for your support!

  20. Hi!
Maldives may not have made the top 16 on this list. Still, if you spend more time on this stie, you will see Maldives is mentioned more than once. Thanks for your comment and for the visit.

  21. Hi
Sorry, but not every great place makes every list. Plus, more importantly, it might have been number 17, but we only did 16. Thanks for your support!

  22. Actually, we have included Turkey in several articles. But, as you know, it is not an “island” and thus was not really eligible for inclusion this specific article.
Thanks for your support! We appreciate it!
