4Experience the fireflies on the Iwahig River
Imagine nothing but you and a few others in a canoe on a calm river in the ebony darkness awaiting the famous firefly show to commence. You will be accompanied by two other travelers and a guide who will take you about one kilometer upstream and (eventually) back. Your outrigger will glide slowly through the water as you move close to the mangroves where the fireflies live.
Only professional photographers can catch the oddly blue swarms of fireflies that freely flit from the many mangroves that grow along there. Tours cast off after 8 p.m.
