This cozy coastal city is roughly two hours north of the city of Savannah. Charleston not only has a reportedly “celebrated food scene”, interesting architecture, and surprisingly exceptional beaches, it also has a long-standing history that harkens back to the American Revolutionary War. Unlike nearby Savannah, it has a unique coastal vibe due in part to its plethora of palm trees. It also has a sense of charm perfect for couples seeking a slow-moving, laid-back location.

Hawaii is not only a classic, iconic honeymoon destination, it’s also a tropical one. With multiple islands, there’s much to choose from here. If you’re into hiking, head to the island of Kauai.
