Berlin offers beautiful autumnal foliage. Stroll around the popular Zoologischer Garten. Have a picnic at the converted airport known as Tempelhofer Feld. Visit in October and see the Festival of Lights, when video and light projections are projected on a number of the city’s famous landmarks, such as the Berlin Cathedral and Brandenburg Gate.
If the weather turns, you can visit the museums. Veteran visitors suggest the Hamburger Bahnhof, which is an old 19th-century train station converted into a contemporary art museum. Stay at the 25Hours Hotel Bikini Berlin. Kick back in one of the lobby hammocks and visit the rooftop Monkey bar and restaurant.
