Napa Valley is famous for being the location of numerous world-class wineries, and California’s comparatively mild winter is a great time to enjoy a cozy cabernet on a comfy heated patio. Providing it’s dry, you can take an outdoor winery tour and do a patio tasting. Being low-season, even the most famous wineries are comparatively crowd-free.

This means less competition to make reservations at the wineries (and some restaurants as well). Fewer tourists translates to a more individualized tasting experience too. Some travel bloggers specifically suggest a stop at the popular Robert Biale Vineyards. Here you can see the vines from the patio. Be sure to sample the red wine as well.
