Jebel Jais Flight, UAE

The UAE is famous for having the highest urban zip-line in the world. It’s 44 floors high and located in Dubai. They now have the longest zip-line in the world too. Located in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, you can go zip-lining for almost three kilometers (over 1.86 miles) above a canyon at an incredible height of 1680 meters (5511.81+ feet) above sea level.

Located in the French Alps, it has a maximum height of 3230 meters (10597.11 feet). It takes just 1.75 minutes to touch down on the end platform which stands 3000 meters (9842+ feet) above sea level. Traveling at a speed of up to 100 kilometers (62+ miles) per hour, veteran visitors say you’ll be finished “in a snow-dusted jiffy.”

PierZip, UK

England is the home of the first pier-to-shore zip-line in the world. It runs for 250 meters ( 820+ feet). This “ride” starts 25 meters (82+ feet offshore.

Beginning on the Bournemouth Pier, 25 meters offshore, there is a pair of parallel wires meant to zip you to the beach for a safe, sandy dismount. Bring a friend and you can race to the bottom.

Dragon’s Breath Flight Line, Haiti

The port of Labadee doesn’t appear to be a hot spot for adventure seekers. But rising 150 meters (492+ feet) above the white sand and glistening waters is the famed launchpad for the popular Dragon Breath Flight Line. This zip-line transports faux flyers down along a 790-meter (2591-feet) route at more than 80 kilometers (almost 40 miles) per hour, to land at Dragon’s Breath Rock.

EcoZip Adventures, New Zealand

At EcoZip Adventures you have three different zip-lining options. One choice has you sweeping down over Waiheke Island’s Syrah vineyards, another allows you to see Auckland and the surrounding harbor and the third is not for the faint of heart. Indeed, the latter is reported to be especially “steep, fast, and long” but the most thrilling of the three.

Located in Hocking Hills, Ohio, this zip-line is great for nature lovers. In between the sky bridges and zip-lines, you’ll find a 1.49-mile trail through beautiful Hocking Hills State Park includes guides on the local fauna and flora and you can see them all from almost 66 feet above the ground.

Slotzilla Zip-Line, USA

Inspired by Las Vegas’ slot machines, Slotzilla offers adventurers two choices. The first zip-line starts seven-stories up and sends passengers across two whole city blocks in the standard position. The Zoomline begins 11 stories high, sending you across five city blocks and under the largest LED screen in the world. You’ll soar through SIn City’s light in “superhero” position.

Treetop Crazy Rider, TreeTops, Australia

This is the only place to experience the thrill of a zip-line and the excitement of a rollercoaster. TreeTop Crazy Rider is a twisting, swooping track that rushes through the Central Coast bush canopies. There are three thrilling options.  Try the popular Pioneer ( 330 meters or 1082+ feet in length). There’s also the Xtreme (one kilometer or .62+ miles long) or you can choose both.

Skyline Akaka Falls, USA

Here at Skyline Eco Adventures in Hawaii, you have seven choices of zip-lines but there are two highlights. One is a cable that takes you 246+ feet over the gorgeous Kolekole waterfall, ensconced in the tropical jungle. The other noteworthy ride is the final wire that takes you across an almost 450-foot wide canyon complete with a raging waterfall right under you.

Tree Limin’ Extreme Zipline, US Virgin Islands

Unlike most zip-lines that finish rather quickly, this canopy zip-line tour on the beautiful US Virgin Island of St. Thomas is different. Instead of a single zip-line, this spot features a series of lines that run through the treetops. You might still be soaring through the rainforest and cerulean waters up to two and a half hours following your first take-off.

Zip Flyer, Highground Adventures, Nepal

If you enjoy a little scare, then you’ll love ’s Zip Flyer on top of Kathmandu. This zip-line is the steepest and the tallest one on the planet. It is nearly two kilometers (1.24+ miles) in length and drops 600 meters (1968+ feet). This zip-line reaches speeds as high as 120 kilometers (74+ miles) per hour too. Those who’ve been there say it’s the closest human beings will ever come to flying.

Zip World, UK

Located in Wales, this lightning speed zip-line hits speeds of up to 160 kilometers ( 99+ miles) per hour. They occasionally use mini-parachutes as well. It’s no surprise since their famous Velocity zip-line is reportedly “the fastest in the world.” Strap in and find yourself jetting out over a huge quarry and taking in Anglesey in the distance.
