Unlike its predecessor the ISS, this vessel will be equipped with artificial gravity, enabling both long-term habitations by staff and visiting by travelers much more comfortable.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The actual structure will be made up of a pair of “concentric structural rings” joined together by spokes. The inner ring will consist of 24 large modules. The Gateway will be used for both space exploration and the meeting and interaction of both humans and extraterrestrials.  </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tim Alatorre, the station’s senior design architect, once told Dezeen magazine that the space hotel was going to be “another option people will pick for their vacation, just like going on a cruise or going to Disney World.”</span></p>

<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">A Space Odyssey</span></h2>
<figure id="attachment_10265" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-10265" style="width: 890px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-10265" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/4.png" alt="" width="890" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/4.png 890w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/4-300x169.png 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/4-768x431.png 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/4-696x391.png 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/4-748x420.png 748w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 890px) 100vw, 890px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-10265" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of the Gateway Foundation</figcaption></figure>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This section will have a stylish interior. Alatorre elaborated: &#8220;In the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, Stanley Kubrick&#8217;s Space Station 5 is a sterile, white, museum-like hotel. He notes: “While it made for a clearly futuristic feeling in the movie, in reality, it wasn&#8217;t a very inviting space. As humans, we innately connect to natural materials and colors.&#8221;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Again he references the cruise ship metaphor speaking of many of the amenities that will be available. He notes the hotel will also include a gymnasium, a casino, and “many of the [other] things you can see on cruise ships: restaurants, bars, <a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/best-live-music-venues-in-london-england/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">musical concerts</a>, movie screenings, and educational seminars.” There will also be luxurious bedrooms and efficiencies all decorated with natural fabrics and materials. The lighting and paint used are also warm-colored to provide people with a comfortable experience.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Not all the modules will be for hotel guests. Alatorre also confirmed that some of the pods will be rented to businesses and government agencies and even sold as private residences. Once complete, the Von Braun Station will be able to handle 400 people. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Additionally, they are planning to accommodate 100 tourists each week. Alatorre concluded that the Gateway Foundation is working towards having the space hotel fully operational by the year 2025. By then, they hope to provide guests with the opportunity to tour intergalactic destinations as well.</span></p>

<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Gateway Foundation Wants You</span></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Gateway Foundation hopes to have the entire spaceport completed in one year’s time. According to their <a href="https://gatewayspaceport.com/the-foundation/membership/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">website</a>, that means finding additional ways to raise revenue to fund immediate construction. Therefore, they are seeking out individuals to further flesh out a solid “base of passionate and active members.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They are looking for people who “are willing to promote [these] efforts and advocate to their government officials” when and if necessary by “sending emails, signing petitions, and participating in awareness campaigns across multiple social media platforms.” The company notes that in order to “build The Gateway and Von Braun Stations in space, we must first build The Gateway Foundation on Earth.”</span></p>

<h3><em>Secret Destinations</em></h3>
<p>Are you ready to travel and want to make the most of your trip? Are you looking for a few hidden gems to highlight your adventure? Here then, are 27 of the planet’s secret destinations and activities:</p>
<h2>1. Symi, Greece</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8897" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/1-2.jpg" alt="" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/1-2.jpg 750w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/1-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/1-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/1-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>Symi is a small island off the coast of Rhodes, Greece. Here you’ll find a charming harbor surrounded by striking neoclassical homes. Greece is more than package vacation deals. Its coastline is the 10th longest of any country in the world so there are still many beautiful beaches. Instead of going in the summer, go during spring when parts of the country are actually as lush as the Tropics.</p>
<h2>2. Maya Nord, Republic of Congo</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-8898 aligncenter" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/2-3.jpg" alt="secret" width="618" height="510" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/2-3.jpg 606w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/2-3-300x248.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/2-3-509x420.jpg 509w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px" /></p>
<p>Maya Nord is not a luxury travel destination. It is little more than a “bai” (in English “an open clearing”) deep within the forests of the primitive Odzala-Kokoua National Park, located in the Republic of Congo. You’ll travel by plane, automobile, canoe and on foot simply to get to this secret spot. It’s a wilderness paradise complete with chimpanzees, elephants, forest buffalo, gorillas, leopards, and more.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h1>&nbsp;</h1>
<h2>3. Córdoba, Argentina</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-8899 aligncenter" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/3-3.jpg" alt="secret" width="635" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/3-3.jpg 635w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/3-3-300x236.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/3-3-533x420.jpg 533w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px" /></p>
<p>The natives love this place, but many foreign travelers overlook progressive Córdoba. Here you will find art and culture, colonial-era architecture, and a distinctive restaurant scene in the hip Güemes neighborhood. The popular Sierras de Córdoba mountain range is a great place for horseback riding.</p>
<p>You can go birdwatching at Mar Chiquita. It’s one of South America’s largest lakes. There’s also paragliding, hang-gliding, pre-Columbian petroglyphs, and the historic Jesuit estancias.</p>
<h2>4.The Hsinbyume Pagoda, Burma</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-8900" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/4-3.jpg" alt="" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/4-3.jpg 750w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/4-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/4-3-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/4-3-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>People who visit Mandalay often check out the temples. The all-white Hsinbyume Pagoda, a.k.a. Mya Thein Tan (100,000 emeralds), found on the western portion of the Irrawaddy is a true hidden gem. You can see it as part of a river cruise or take the morning ferry from Mandalay to the Mingun jetty. The temple has seven different terraces and secret statues in hidden niches.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h1>&nbsp;</h1>
<h2>5. Morocco, North Africa</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-8901" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/5-2.jpg" alt="" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/5-2.jpg 750w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/5-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/5-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/5-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>Veteran visitors say shopaholics can “shop with a conscience” in The Kingdom of Morocco. Focus on the “Fair Trade” associations and cooperatives. When you buy food and souvenirs you’ll be supporting the local community.</p>
<p>Browse the 40+ cooperatives located in the Aït Bouguemez, which offer various traditional handmade crafts. Go to Marrakesh . There you can purchase hand-embroidered bed and bath linens made by disabled women at Al Nour.</p>
<h2>6. Bristol, England</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-8902 aligncenter" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/6wiki.jpg" alt="secret" width="625" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/6wiki.jpg 625w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/6wiki-300x240.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/6wiki-525x420.jpg 525w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px" /></p>
<p>Travel back through the mists of time at the well-known Kings Weston Estate in north Bristol. During the 1700s, the gorges, woodlands, and view of the Severn Estuary were admired by Jane Austen and visited by royalty. Kings Weston is now a local favorite where people walk their dogs and go for strolls in the woods. Be sure to visit the Echo which is a loggia with a facade of stonework.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h1>&nbsp;</h1>
<h2>7. The Towpath Café, UK</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-8903" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/7flickr.jpg" alt="secret" width="456" height="610" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/7flickr.jpg 449w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/7flickr-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/7flickr-314x420.jpg 314w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 456px) 100vw, 456px" /></p>
<p>If you’re visiting London and need to “recharge”, this is the place to be. The Towpath Cafe is found on Regent’s Canal close to Haggerston in East <a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/best-live-music-venues-in-london-england/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">London</a>. Each spring it unceremoniously opens its unassuming shutters and offers people delicious seasonal eats which they serve ‘til some time in late autumn. So stop in, grab a bite, and check out the wildlife as the water refracts the sunlight.</p>
<h2>8. Cameron Highlands, Malaysia</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-8908" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/8wiki-1.jpg" alt="secret" width="610" height="610" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/8wiki-1.jpg 510w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/8wiki-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/8wiki-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/8wiki-1-420x420.jpg 420w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px" /></p>
<p>You can see the rare parasitic Rafflesia, the flower with the world’s largest bloom, here. The record is presently 107 centimeters in diameter. The record weight is 10 kilograms.<br />
The Rafflesia is rare because they’re poached. The flower can be used to treat different injuries and even infertility. The plant flowers for only three to five days so you have to be there at the right time to see it.</p>

<h1>&nbsp;</h1>
<h2>9. San Juan Parangaricutiro, Mexico</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-8909" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/9wiki.jpg" alt="" width="754" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/9wiki.jpg 754w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/9wiki-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/9wiki-696x462.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/9wiki-633x420.jpg 633w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 754px) 100vw, 754px" /></p>
<p>San Juan Parangaricutiro is located in Michoacán. This village was nearly totally flooded with lava during a volcanic eruption in 1943. Now all that’s left of the hamlet is the top portion of the church.</p>
<p>Its bell tower remains standing amidst the lava fields from the Paricutin volcano. You can take a horseback ride over the black slopes to the famous spectral church from the neighboring village of Angahuan.</p>
<h2>10. Horta, Barcelona</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-8910" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/10publicdoman.jpg" alt="" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/10publicdoman.jpg 750w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/10publicdoman-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/10publicdoman-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/10publicdoman-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>You can spend some time with the famous greek gods at the lovely Labyrinth Park of Horta. Time stands still in these secret gardens. Only 750 tourists at a time are permitted in this park in order to better preserve the place.</p>
<p>Highlights include a maze with a sculpture of the legendary love god Eros, and pavilions containing sculptures of additional gods. There are also flower gardens, ponds, and a waterfall.</p>
<h2>11. The Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, Brazil</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-8911" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/11wiki-2.jpg" alt="secret" width="657" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/11wiki-2.jpg 657w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/11wiki-2-300x228.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/11wiki-2-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/11wiki-2-552x420.jpg 552w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 657px) 100vw, 657px" /></p>
<p>Enter another world. Travel to this remote region of north-eastern Brazil and explore an extraordinary environment of crystalline lakes and rolling sand dunes in this otherworldly national park. You can take tours of this park via four-by-four or boat. If you wish to spend time seeing the freshwater lagoons there then the best time to visit is between July and September when they’re at their fullest.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h1>&nbsp;</h1>
<h2>12. The Awesome Amazon</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-8913" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/12-1.jpg" alt="" width="667" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/12-1.jpg 667w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/12-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/12-1-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/12-1-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/12-1-560x420.jpg 560w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px" /></p>
<p>This is a popular secret diving destination among those who have been there. Television presenter Jeremy Wade reports that there’s a special spot on one of the mighty Amazon’s southern sub-tributaries that is especially noteworthy. In this secret place, a swimmer can push his/her way through the plants there into a small channel. The channel leads to a crystal clear pool and a surreal undersea landscape. But beware of electric eels!</p>
<h2>13. The My Son Sanctuary, Vietnam</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-8912" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/13-1.jpg" alt="" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/13-1.jpg 750w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/13-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/13-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/13-1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>This sanctuary in Vietnam is a group of religious temples dating from the 300s to the 1200s. Located an hour’s drive out of Hoi An, these structures were left here by the Champa civilization. Due to the sanctuary’s location, it doesn’t get many visitors. Be sure to visit the local graveyard on the nearby hill where the colorful headstones look less like grave markers and more like small dolls’ houses.</p>

<h2>14. The Hidden Falls, Switzerland</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-8915" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/14wiki.jpg" alt="secret" width="407" height="610" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/14wiki.jpg 340w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/14wiki-200x300.jpg 200w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/14wiki-280x420.jpg 280w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 407px) 100vw, 407px" /></p>
<p>If you go to Switzerland, be sure to visit the Lauterbrunnen Valley. There are 72 different waterfalls there. The best falls, however, aren’t easily seen.</p>
<p>In fact, the only way to reach the hidden Trummelbach Falls is by an old cable railway tunnel and lift. You’ll discover ten separate glacial waterfalls and witness as they rush down deep inside a mountain and spray you with a light mist.</p>
<h2>15. Poznan, Poland</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-8916" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/15-2.jpg" alt="" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/15-2.jpg 750w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/15-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/15-2-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/15-2-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>Perhaps all too often overlooked by tourists, Poznan, Poland is both beautiful and quite memorable. What makes Poznan special? The outskirts, mainly.</p>
<p>Want the big picture? Ride the trams for days and explore the farthest outreaches. The numerous historic buildings, sites, and Old Town are all worth a look, of course, but you really need to go beyond the center of Poznan and get out and meet the locals too.</p>

<h2>16. Holkham Beach, England</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-8917" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/16flickr.jpg" alt="" width="751" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/16flickr.jpg 1000w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/16flickr-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/16flickr-768x511.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/16flickr-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/16flickr-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 751px) 100vw, 751px" /></p>
<p>While in the UK, be sure to visit Holkham Beach in North Norfolk. It’s an award-winning property with limited parking but you can easily ditch any potential crowd by strolling through the neighboring pine forest or even further down this wide-open beach even during the summer. See if you can spot seals or go bird watching. Finally, relax and have a pint or two in the popular Victoria.</p>
<h2>17. The Hôtel-Dieu, France</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-8918" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/17wiki.jpg" alt="" width="667" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/17wiki.jpg 1200w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/17wiki-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/17wiki-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/17wiki-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/17wiki-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/17wiki-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/17wiki-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/17wiki-1068x801.jpg 1068w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/17wiki-560x420.jpg 560w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px" /></p>
<p>Close to the famous Notre-Dame Cathedral is an unassuming blue door. Through that nigh anonymous entryway is one of the city’s best-kept secrets: the Hôtel-Dieu complex. It’s reportedly home to Paris’ oldest hospital.</p>
<p>As you pass through the sliding doors, stop and ask someone how to get to the courtyard. It is there you will discover Hausmanian architecture, a piano, and a great place to avoid the crowds.</p>

<h2>18. The Roman Forum, Italy</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-8919" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/18-1.jpg" alt="" width="754" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/18-1.jpg 960w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/18-1-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/18-1-768x510.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/18-1-696x462.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/18-1-633x420.jpg 633w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 754px) 100vw, 754px" /></p>
<p> “When in Rome do as the Romans do . . “ or at least as the smart tourists in Rome do. To wit, do your homework and research the secret bargains. For example, if you wish to avoid long lines snaking around the famous Colosseum stroll across the street and buy your admission tickets at the Roman Forum. The price of your pass also includes special fast track admission into the Colosseum.</p>
<h2>19. Essex, England</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-8920" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/19-1.jpg" alt="" width="748" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/19-1.jpg 960w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/19-1-300x201.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/19-1-768x514.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/19-1-696x465.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/19-1-628x420.jpg 628w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 748px) 100vw, 748px" /></p>
<p>Essex might be ignored by most of the guidebooks, but for you, that’s a good thing. After all, those in the know say that Essex is England’s most under-appreciated travel destination. There are the coastlines and wildernesses of Rainham Marshes and Two Tree Island that stretch along the famous Thames and the ancient woodlands of Hainault and Epping as well. These are all great places for any nature lover.</p>

<h2>20. Suriname, South America</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-8921" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/20-1.jpg" alt="secret" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/20-1.jpg 960w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/20-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/20-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/20-1-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/20-1-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p>Most of Suriname remains covered in primary forest. Thus, it is perhaps one of the world&#8217;s few remaining secret bastions of true exploration. What’s more, it’s not difficult to reach and is a perfect example of proper resource management. Book a local flight to the wild Kabalebo Nature Resort where you can go wildlife spotting, kayaking down an uncharted river, or take part in a guided ranger trip.</p>
<h2>21. Ancient Sites, Morocco</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-8922" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/21wiki-1.jpg" alt="" width="755" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/21wiki-1.jpg 1200w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/21wiki-1-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/21wiki-1-768x509.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/21wiki-1-1024x678.jpg 1024w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/21wiki-1-696x461.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/21wiki-1-1068x708.jpg 1068w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/21wiki-1-634x420.jpg 634w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px" /></p>
<p>At the peak of their mighty empire, the Romans reached Lixus in Morocco. Despite a few more modern markings, Lixus is not only off the tourist trail it is also one of Morocco’s oldest inhabited sites. Explore the city where the legendary Hercules checked off one of his famous “12 labors.” You can also learn what Roman life was like when you visit Upper Town’s amphitheatre, mosaics, and temple sanctuaries.</p>

<p>The Cenotes are secret sunken caves located in Yucatan, Mexico. Yucatan is a popular place visited by millions of tourists. What appeals to people who like to avoid the tourists is the fact that Yucatan is a hot spot and yet despite the beaches crowded with sun-worshipping travelers, you can drive a mile away from the crowds and have an underground or underwater adventure going where few men have previously gone.</p>

There’s nothing better than an interesting place in a foreign land that offers the convenience of back home eateries and convenience stores.</p>

<p>Gettysburg is, of course, famous for former President Abraham Lincoln&#8217;s historic Gettysburg Address and the three-day battle in 1863. Thus, this little <a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/the-22-top-hipster-cities-in-the-world/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pennsylvania</a> town is big with students of history. Nevertheless, Gettysburg offers visitors a lot more than just the well-known historical attractions. Stroll downtown&#8217;s main thoroughfare, browse the art galleries and different boutiques. Take a <a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/16-scariest-real-haunted-houses-in-the-us/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ghost tour</a> and explore the friendly farmer&#8217;s markets as well.</p>

<h4>Everyone loves celeb <span style="background-color: #99ccff;"><span style="background-color: #ccffff;">selfies</span></span>. It gives their fans a feeling of proximity. It’s entertaining to see where they go, what they do, and how they spend their money.</h4>
<h4>It’s today’s low-ball version of the 1980s TV show “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.” That’s “the good.” But let’s face it. <em>The National Enquirer</em> exists for a reason. We all enjoy seeing “the bad and the ugly” sometimes too. With that fact in mind, here are 20 of the most real selfies celebrities have shot on vacation.</h4>

<h2>19. Neil Patrick Harris Has Had Enough?</h2>

<h4>American actor Neil Patrick Harris makes money making his fans laugh. Perhaps that’s why he shared this shot.  The question is: Is he just goofing around or is that “liquid lunch” look genuine because he’s yet another over-celebratory celebrity?</h4>

<p>One vacation rarely fits all especially during pregnancy. We know that here because (to paraphrase Yogi Bear) “we’re smarter than the average travel website staff.” We did our homework on the internet and came up with 18 perfect babymoon locations. Face it, your lives are about to change forever so how is the time to hit one of these 18 babymoon locations for lots of rest and relaxation.</p>
<h3>York, United Kingdom</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="730" height="486" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5791" alt="" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/1-5.jpg" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/1-5.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/1-5-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/1-5-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/1-5-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>
<p>Yes, <a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/best-live-music-venues-in-london-england/">London</a> is the big draw in the UK, but for a babymoon York might just work better. Here you’ll feel like you’re in medieval Britain. Highlights include the architectural wonder of York Minster, the historic alleyways of the Quarter, tea at the popular Bettys Café Tea Rooms, and shopping at Shambles. If you stay at the centrally-located Grays Court you will not only have easy access to these places but be able to take in more local history too.</p>
<h3>Khanom, Thailand</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="730" height="485" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5792" alt="" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/2-4.jpg" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/2-4.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/2-4-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/2-4-696x462.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/2-4-632x420.jpg 632w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>
<p>Phuket. We know everyone likes those beaches. Still, if you would like a bit more privacy and still would like to get a taste of authentic Thailand, visit the much lesser-known Khanom.</p>
<p>Here you will find only a few resorts, and a largely untouched, more private place. The beaches are comparatively more secluded here. See the native pink dolphins, and take a day trip to beautiful Khao Sok National Park. Spend time at the Aava Resort and Spa too.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2>&nbsp;</h2>
<h3>Oahu, Hawaii, USA</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="730" height="486" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5793" alt="" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/3-4.jpg" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/3-4.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/3-4-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/3-4-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/3-4-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>
<p>The birthplace of your roving writer is less hectic than the “Big Island.” There’s plenty to see including stunning, accessible waterfalls, the famous Pearl Harbor National Memorial, the popular Hollywood tour that features film locations from “Lost”, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&amp;v=LKaS7Z0fU90"><em>Jurassic Park</em></a>, and more.</p>
<p>Visit the north side of Oahu and relax with a real Hawaiian shaved ice in old town Haleiwa. Stay at the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina. Enjoy the spa and the adults-only swimming pool.</p>
<h3>Newport, Rhode Island, USA</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="730" height="459" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5794" alt="" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/4-4.jpg" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/4-4.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/4-4-300x189.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/4-4-696x438.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/4-4-668x420.jpg 668w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>
<p>Newport is famous for its mansions like the Breakers. Check out the Newport Art Museum, or the Newport Car Museum. Like the outdoors? Visit the Norman Bird Sanctuary and the Bay Walk, or even Fort Adams State Park.</p>
<p>Brunch at Stoneacre Brasserie and have dinner at America’s oldest tavern the famous White Horse Tavern, established in 1673. Care to enjoy a meal made from scratch? Try the Brix Restaurant. Stay at Gurney&#8217;s and enjoy the spa there too.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2>&nbsp;</h2>
<h3>Cologne, Germany</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="720" height="555" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5795" alt="" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/5-4.jpg" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/5-4.jpg 720w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/5-4-300x231.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/5-4-696x537.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/5-4-545x420.jpg 545w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></p>
<p>If you want to babymoon in Germany, this is the place. “Foodies” (and women with pregnancy cravings) will enjoy the various cafes, the chocolate museum, and the bakeries. Head for the city’s shopping district which includes both boutiques and high-end shops.</p>
<p>See the Old Market and the Cologne Cathedral. Get a room at the popular 25 Hours Hotel. You can get a memorable view of the well-known cathedral while enjoying food and drinks at the popular rooftop bar and restaurant.</p>
<h3>Puerto Vallarta, Mexico</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="720" height="1079" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5796" alt="" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/6-4.jpg" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/6-4.jpg 720w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/6-4-200x300.jpg 200w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/6-4-683x1024.jpg 683w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/6-4-696x1043.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/6-4-280x420.jpg 280w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></p>
<p>Babymooners love Puerto Vallarta. Here in this authentic Mexican metropolis, you can create the perfect, personal blend of sightseeing and relaxation. Highlights include the popular Playa de los Muertos pier, the exceptional Islas Marietas National Park, Malecón, the various downtown art galleries and more.</p>
<p>Looking for suggestions on accommodations? Why not stay at the classy Casa Velas? The Casa Velas is an adults-only, all-inclusive, resort. Amenities include private plunge pools and outdoor tubs that help make this place a perfect place for couples.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2>&nbsp;</h2>
<h3>Santorini, Greece</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="730" height="486" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5797" alt="" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/7-3.jpg" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/7-3.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/7-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/7-3-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/7-3-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>
<p>Santorini is already on the list of most romantic spots in the world. Being able to enjoy yourselves as a couple is now even more important with your baby on the way. Stroll along the red and white sand beaches and take in the stunning sunsets.</p>
<p>Cuddle up at the outdoor cinema, take a Greek cooking class, and experience a memorable catamaran cruise. Get a room at the cliffside Canaves Oia and enjoy the infinity pool.</p>
<h3>Palm Beach, Florida, USA</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="730" height="486" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5798" alt="" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/8-2.jpg" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/8-2.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/8-2-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/8-2-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/8-2-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>

<p>If you enjoy shopping Worth Avenue is reported to be “the Rodeo Drive of the East.” There are more than 40 antique stores, too. Want to remember your last vacation as an official childless couple? Visit the popular interactive Selfie Trail.</p>

<h3>Palm Springs, California, USA</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="720" height="960" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5800" alt="" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/9-4.jpg" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/9-4.jpg 720w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/9-4-225x300.jpg 225w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/9-4-696x928.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/9-4-315x420.jpg 315w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px" /></p>
<p>Not far from Coachella, some call Palm Springs a “quintessential Californian city” due in part to its mid-century modern feel. Here you can not only go biking and hiking but also visit such places as the Living Desert Zoo &amp; Gardens. Enjoy the fun aerial tramway and stay at the famous Ace Hotel &amp; Swim Club. If you enjoy vintage records, record players, vintage photo booths and other old-school items then this is the place.</p>
