This list is only a part of the product and safety rating website’s yearly Airline Excellence Awards, which also features winners in 13 different categories and “the best overall.” To be eligible for nomination an airline must “demonstrate leadership in innovation for passenger comfort” and garner a seven-star safety rating.</p>
<p>The airlines in question must also demonstrate consistency in staff engagement and service. The seven-editor team utilizes the following criteria to determine its annual rankings:</p>
<p><em>Staff relations</em><br />
<em>Profitability</em><br />
<em>Product offerings</em><br />
<em>Passenger reviews</em><br />
<em>Investment rating</em><br />
<em>Fleet age</em></p>
<p>Without further adieu here are the world’s best airlines for 2020:</p>

<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7152" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/16wik.jpg" alt="" width="730" height="477" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/16wik.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/16wik-300x196.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/16wik-696x455.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/16wik-643x420.jpg 643w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>
<p>(Isn’t it about time an American airline show up on this list?) Hawaiian Airlines is reported to be the US state of Hawaii&#8217;s flag carrier and largest airline. Based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This is the United States’ tenth-largest commercial airline.</p>
<p>This airline has its main hub at the well-known Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on the popular island of Oahu. The company also has a second hub on the island of Maui’s Kahului Airport. Hawaiian Airlines offers flights to the US mainland, American Samoa, Australia, French Polynesia, New Zealand, Asia, and various destinations in Hawaii.</p>

<h3>17. British Airways</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7154" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/17-6.jpg" alt="" width="730" height="486" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/17-6.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/17-6-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/17-6-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/17-6-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>
<p>There is something about this airline that simply appeals to people. So it should be no surprise it made the top 20 list. British Airways is the famous flag carrier airline of the entire United Kingdom.</p>
<p>The airline’s main hub can be found at London Heathrow Airport. The company’s main office is located near there at Waterside, Harmondsworth. Based on passengers carried and fleet size, it is the United Kingdom’s second-largest airline. BA is also the first official passenger airline to earn more than $1 billion on one air route in a single year.</p>
<h3>18. Alaska Airlines</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7155" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/18-5.jpg" alt="" width="730" height="460" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/18-5.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/18-5-300x189.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/18-5-696x439.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/18-5-667x420.jpg 667w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>
<p>This is the second American airline to make the list. (USA! USA!) Alaska Airlines is one of several major American airlines. The company’s home office can be found in SeaTac, in the Seattle metropolitan area, in the state of Washington.</p>
<p>This airline is the United States’ fifth-largest airline in the United States in terms of the number of destinations offered, passengers carried, and fleet size. Alaska Airlines and its partners run a network of routes focused on linking Alaska and the Pacific Northwest to more than 100 locations in the continental United States, Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, and Costa Rica.</p>

<h3>19. Delta Air Lines</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7156" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/19-6.jpg" alt="" width="730" height="451" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/19-6.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/19-6-300x185.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/19-6-356x220.jpg 356w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/19-6-696x430.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/19-6-680x420.jpg 680w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>
<p>Delta Air Lines is the third and final US airline to make the list. Its inclusion may be a surprise to some. After all, frequent flyers and certainly any travel writer worth his or her salt is well aware of certain headline-grabbing incidents in this American company’s past.</p>
<p>Still, it’s earned its slot here. Delta Air Lines, Inc. was actually named as the official best long-haul airline for the Americas. Delta is a legacy carrier and one of the United States’ major airlines. Delta’s main office is situated in Atlanta in the state of Georgia.</p>
<h3>20. Etihad Airways</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7157" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/20-5.jpg" alt="" width="730" height="486" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/20-5.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/20-5-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/20-5-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/20-5-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>
<p>Last to make the list is Etihad Airways. This airline is the UAE’s second-largest. The company HQ is located in Khalifa City, in Abu Dhabi.</p>
<p>It’s conveniently close to Abu Dhabi International Airport. Etihad was first open for business in November of 2003. They purport to “offer the best deals on flights worldwide.”</p>
<p>It is the United Arab Emirates’ official national carrier. This airline offers non-stop flights to over 90 destinations in North America, <a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/the-10-places-in-europe-we-all-want-to-go-to-thanks-to-instagram/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Europe</a>, Oceania, Africa, Asia, and (of course) the Middle East. <h4>There are a lot of great places to visit in the USA so deciding on where to go isn’t an easy task. There are charming small towns, exciting cities, numerous festivals in 50 states and more than 400 national parks. To help you with your itinerary for next year, we’ve put together a list of destinations that you simply don’t want to miss.</h4>
<h2>1. Leavenworth, Washington</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7105" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/1-32.jpg" alt="" width="960" height="540" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/1-32.jpg 960w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/1-32-300x169.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/1-32-768x432.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/1-32-696x392.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/1-32-747x420.jpg 747w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /></p>
<h4>Leavenworth presently offers visitors a little taste of Bavaria. So put on your optional lederhosen and enjoy beer, bratwurst, and pretzels. It’s reportedly one of the state’s most popular tourist stops. Here you will discover Bavarian-style architecture, bars, breweries, cideries, and local shops. It’s also a great place for outdoor activities too.</h4>
<h2>2. Gruene, Texas</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7106" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/2wiki.jpg" alt="" width="730" height="486" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/2wiki.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/2wiki-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/2wiki-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/2wiki-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>

<h2>3. Raleigh, North Carolina</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7107" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/3-9.jpg" alt="" width="730" height="486" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/3-9.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/3-9-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/3-9-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/3-9-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>

<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h1>&nbsp;</h1>
<h2>7. New Orleans, Louisiana</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7111" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/7-10.jpg" alt="" width="730" height="483" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/7-10.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/7-10-300x198.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/7-10-696x461.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/7-10-635x420.jpg 635w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 730px) 100vw, 730px" /></p>

Check out Spooky and Peek-a-Boo Canyon too.</h4>

<h4>Yellowstone is not too far from Grand Teton National Park. It features canyons, geysers that go off randomly, hot mud pits, the underground supervolcano, and sulfur holes. Hike to a hidden waterfall and relax in a multi-colored hot spring. If you don’t, you’ll marvel at watching the pros scaling such locations as the scary, steep Monkey Face outcropping.</h4>

<h4>While the Big Island doesn’t have as many beautiful beaches as Oahu (the birthplace of yours truly), the Big Island has its own charms. It features Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, thundering waterfalls ensconced in the verdant jungle, and the opportunity to actually swim with manta rays at night.</h4>
