<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">New York is home to over 200 historic sites and state parks. Luckily for those looking to travel within the US, the superb scenery remains well-preserved. Without further ado, here are the 11 most beautiful state parks in New York. </span></p>
<h3><strong><em>1. Letchworth State Park</em></strong></h3>
<p><img decoding="async" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-11169" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-1024x683.jpeg" alt="" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-1024x683.jpeg 1024w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-696x464.jpeg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-1068x712.jpeg 1068w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-630x420.jpeg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1.jpeg 1536w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This park in Castle is home to the “Grand Canyon of the East,” a large gorge created by the Genesee River. The park also includes rugged cliffs and a trio of waterfalls known simply as the upper, middle, and lower falls. The water is great for inflatable kayaking and white water rafting.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There’s also 60+ miles of hiking trails. If you want a bird’s-eye view, you can take a hot air balloon ride. Stay in cabins, fully-equipped lodges, or at one of the campsites there.</span></p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2>Watkins Glen State Park</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-11170 size-large" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-12-730x1024.jpg" alt="" width="696" height="976" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-12-730x1024.jpg 730w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-12-214x300.jpg 214w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-12-768x1077.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-12-696x976.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-12-1068x1498.jpg 1068w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-12-299x420.jpg 299w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You’ll find this park situated at the stunning southern end of popular Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes area of Watkins Glen. One of the highlights here is an exceptional gorge by Glen Creek. The eroded shale and limestone have created stunning rock formations and 19 waterfalls along the popular two-mile Gorge Trail.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> There are also another two trails that follow the gorge where you will enjoy extraordinary vantage points. Here you can choose from cabins or campsites, some of which even include new electric hookups.</span></p>
<h2>Niagara Falls State Park</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-11171" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-13-1024x683.jpg" alt="" width="696" height="464" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-13-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-13-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-13-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-13-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-13-1068x712.jpg 1068w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-13-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/10-things-to-do-in-niagara-falls/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Niagara Falls</a> State Park near Buffalo is the oldest state park in the country. Opened in 1885, it’s famous for its main attraction, the world-famous <a href="https://youtu.be/_yJBhzMWJCc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Niagara Falls</a>. This awesome attraction overflows with more than 700,000 gallons of water per second.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Here you can also see a trio of thunderous falls: the Bridal Veil Falls, American Falls, and Horseshoe Falls. The popular Maid of the Mist tour offers exceptional views. You can also visit Goat Island, Terrapin Point, and the Cave of the Winds.</span></p>
<h2>Chimney Bluffs State Park</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-11172" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-14.jpg" alt="" width="701" height="526" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-14.jpg 701w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-14-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-14-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-14-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-14-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-14-560x420.jpg 560w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 701px) 100vw, 701px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Situated east of Rochester in Wolcott on the southern shores of Lake Ontario, this park is best known for its beachfront setting and unique topography. It features rugged rock formations and 150-foot-high spires are the result of severe weather conditions and ages-old glaciers. While erosion brought forth the stunning surrounding landscape, it also destabilized the popular Bluff Trail. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Today you can once again hike to the top of the bluffs and enjoy the memorable views. After your hike, cool off in Lake Ontario.</span></p>
<h2>Minnewaska State Park</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-11173" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-15-1024x768.jpg" alt="" width="696" height="522" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-15.jpg 1024w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-15-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-15-768x576.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-15-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-15-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-15-696x522.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-15-560x420.jpg 560w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This state park in Gardiner spans the massive Shawangunk Mountain Range below Catskill Park. Both hikers and mountain bikers frequent this place to take advantage of the 50+ miles of trails here in this 22,000-acre park. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There&#8217;s also the one-mile Awosting Falls Trail day hike which leads to an attractive 60-foot waterfall and the pool beneath it. Both of the property’s pristine lakes&#8211;Lake Awosting and Lake Minnewaska have beach areas where you can go swimming too. Other highlights include the Rainbow Falls and Gertrude’s Nose Trails. </span></p>
<h2>Robert H. Treman State Park</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-10318" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/6-flic.jpg" alt="" width="733" height="550" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/6-flic.jpg 666w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/6-flic-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/6-flic-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/6-flic-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/6-flic-559x420.jpg 559w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 733px) 100vw, 733px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Located southwest of Ithaca, this state park includes 12 pretty waterfalls and a gorgeous gorge along the Enfield Creeks. If you’re not big on hiking but would rather go swimming then head for the popular Lower Falls situated under half a mile from the parking lot. There’s a nice size swimming hole right under the falls. On the other hand, if you love hiking there are nine trails here. The best of them are the 4.3-mile Rim Trail and Gorge Trail Loop.</span></p>
<h2>Hudson Highlands State Park</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-10319" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/7wiki.jpg" alt="" width="943" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/7wiki.jpg 943w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/7wiki-300x159.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/7wiki-768x407.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/7wiki-696x369.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/7wiki-792x420.jpg 792w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 943px) 100vw, 943px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hudson Highlands State Park is unsurprisingly found on the Hudson River between the towns of Beacon and Cold Spring. Hikers will like the 5.5-mile Breakneck Ridge Trail which rises 1,250 feet in a three-quarter-mile section close to the top. There’s also the Bull Hill Trail, which provides hikers with great views of the neighboring Storm King Mountain.  </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">There’s also a less challenging trail at Dennings Point which provides views of the waterfront and abandoned buildings being reclaimed by nature.</span></p>
<h2>Buttermilk Falls State Park</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-11176" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-768x1024.gif" alt="" width="696" height="928" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-768x1024.gif 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-225x300.gif 225w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-696x928.gif 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-315x420.gif 315w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Only one mile from Robert H. Treman State Park, you’ll find beautiful Buttermilk Falls State Park just outside of Ithaca. The park is named after the incredible Buttermilk Falls, which plunge down the shale rock to a sparkling natural pool where travelers swim in during the hot summer months. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The gorge here includes other smaller falls that altogether drop a total of 600 feet. There’s also the 4.5-mile Lake Treman Loop, Pinnacle Rock, and the wetlands around the lake.</span></p>
<h2>Bear Mountain State Park</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-11175" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-16-1024x725.jpg" alt="" width="696" height="493" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-16-1024x725.jpg 1024w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-16-300x213.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-16-768x544.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-16-100x70.jpg 100w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-16-696x493.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-16-1068x757.jpg 1068w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-16-593x420.jpg 593w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/1-16.jpg 1200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bear Mountain’s Bear Mountain State Park includes both some rocky peaks and verdant forest on the west bank of the Hudson River. The area is great for fishing and even swimming when it comes to Hessian Lake. Hike the historic revolutionary roads of the popular 5.7-mile Doodletown Bride Path Loop Trail. Visit Split Rock Falls, and the Doodletown Reservoir. Hike up to the Perkins Memorial Tower and take in the stunning views of the Hudson River Valley.</span></p>
<h2>Hither Hills State Park</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-10322" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/10-flic.jpg" alt="" width="666" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/10-flic.jpg 666w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/10-flic-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/10-flic-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/10-flic-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/10-flic-559x420.jpg 559w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 666px) 100vw, 666px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You’ll find this state park out in Montauk. Here in the very heart of New York&#8217;s Hamptons, you can enjoy affordable camping at the 190-site campground, golden sand beaches, and other recreation areas. Hikers can hit the narrower bay beaches. In fact, there are several trails for both hikers and horseback riders. If you tire of the forest, head for Napeague Harbor and its rolling dunes.</span></p>
<h2>Allegany State Park</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-10323" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/11-flic.jpg" alt="new" width="666" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/11-flic.jpg 666w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/11-flic-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/11-flic-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/11-flic-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/11-flic-559x420.jpg 559w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 666px) 100vw, 666px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Salamanca’s Allegany State Park stretches for almost 65,000 acres. Not counting the Catskills and Adirondacks, this is the largest state park in all of New York. The bedrock and massive boulders ensconced throughout the thick forest here also make it quite a distinguished location. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rock climbers take the quarter-mile Thunder Rocks Trail to explore the hidden alcoves. Red House Lake has a beach perfect for summertime swimming. Canoers and kayakers head to Quaker Lake or even the Allegany River itself. You can tent camp, stay at an RV site, or rent cabins, cottages, or yurts.</span></p>

<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8681" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/19-1.jpg" alt="" width="666" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/19-1.jpg 666w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/19-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/19-1-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/19-1-265x198.jpg 265w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/19-1-559x420.jpg 559w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 666px) 100vw, 666px" /></p>
<p>Branson is an Ozark town in Missouri. There’s the Titanic Museum, an impressive, realistic replica of the infamous doomed ship. There’s also the Las Vegas-reminiscent fire and water fountain show at lovely Lake Taneycomo. While White Water Branson and Silver Dollar City can be costly, there are affordable activities. You can feed fish at the Shepherd of the Hills Fish Hatchery or go swimming at Table Rock Lake.</p>
<h2>20. Gettysburg</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8682" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/20-1.jpg" alt="" width="631" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/20-1.jpg 631w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/20-1-300x238.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/20-1-530x420.jpg 530w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 631px) 100vw, 631px" /></p>
<p>Gettysburg is, of course, famous for former President Abraham Lincoln&#8217;s historic Gettysburg Address and the three-day battle in 1863. Thus, this little <a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/the-22-top-hipster-cities-in-the-world/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pennsylvania</a> town is big with students of history. Nevertheless, Gettysburg offers visitors a lot more than just the well-known historical attractions. Stroll downtown&#8217;s main thoroughfare, browse the art galleries and different boutiques. Take a <a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/16-scariest-real-haunted-houses-in-the-us/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ghost tour</a> and explore the friendly farmer&#8217;s markets as well.</p>

<p>A lakeside view can truly be special. The crisp air, the relaxing vibes and the simplistic beauty of nature can be incredible. To illustrate the point, here are the most beautiful, prettiest lakes in the USA.</p>
<h3>1. The Lakes in Glacier National Park</h3>
<figure id="attachment_6204" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-6204" style="width: 696px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/chelseakauai-•-Glacier-National-Park-In-MontanaUSA-820x1024.jpg" alt="" width="696" height="869" class="size-large wp-image-6204" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/chelseakauai-•-Glacier-National-Park-In-MontanaUSA-820x1024.jpg 820w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/chelseakauai-•-Glacier-National-Park-In-MontanaUSA-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/chelseakauai-•-Glacier-National-Park-In-MontanaUSA-768x959.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/chelseakauai-•-Glacier-National-Park-In-MontanaUSA-696x869.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/chelseakauai-•-Glacier-National-Park-In-MontanaUSA-1068x1334.jpg 1068w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/chelseakauai-•-Glacier-National-Park-In-MontanaUSA-336x420.jpg 336w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/chelseakauai-•-Glacier-National-Park-In-MontanaUSA.jpg 1080w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-6204" class="wp-caption-text">Photo By: <a href="https://www.instagram.com/chelseakauai/">@chelseakauai</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>Glacier National Park is located in Montana on the border between the US and Canada. Here you’ll find several worthy lakes including the largest, McDonald Lake, Grinnell Lake, Saint Mary Lake, and Swiftcurrent Lake. This is also reputed to be one of the best spots in the country for backpacking and backcountry hiking. The park’s stunning wilderness also includes cozy lodges, glacier peaks, and verdant valleys. Stop in at the nearby resort town of Whitefish, too.</p>

<h2>The Lakes in Grand Teton National Park</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8533" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8533" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-8533 size-full" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/2-@karl_shakur.jpg" alt="" width="630" height="788" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/2-@karl_shakur.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/2-@karl_shakur-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/2-@karl_shakur-336x420.jpg 336w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8533" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/karl_shakur/"> @karl_shakur</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming is one of the nation’s best wilderness reserves. Some say it’s due in part to the beautiful lakes there. The prettiest one is perhaps Delta Lake which has its own unique opaque turquoise hue. The color is the result of a specific rock flour that is a product of the Teton Glacier. You should visit the northern area too which is perhaps best known for the luxurious mountain resort town named Jackson Hole.</p>

<h2>Lake Tahoe</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8536" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8536" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-8536 size-full" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/3-@jess.wandering-www.instagram.comeverchanginghorizon.jpg" alt="lakes" width="630" height="787" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/3-@jess.wandering-www.instagram.comeverchanginghorizon.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/3-@jess.wandering-www.instagram.comeverchanginghorizon-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/3-@jess.wandering-www.instagram.comeverchanginghorizon-336x420.jpg 336w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8536" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/everchanginghorizon/"> @everchanginghorizon</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>Lake Tahoe is located on the state line between California and Nevada. Visit whenever you wish as this crystal-clear lake and neighboring mountains are beautiful at any time. If you’re into skiing then visit in the winter. If you’re a fan of water sports then summer is best.</p>
<p>You can go rock-climbing and hiking here too. Finally, once you’ve worn yourself out, you can relax in one of the four main towns around this lake. They are Incline Village, Stateline, South Lake Tahoe, and Tahoe City.</p>

<h2> The Lakes in Yosemite National Park</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8548" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8548" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-8548 size-full" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/4-Image-courtesy-of-@jess.wandering-www.instagram.comeverchanginghorizon.jpg" alt="lakes" width="630" height="787" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/4-Image-courtesy-of-@jess.wandering-www.instagram.comeverchanginghorizon.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/4-Image-courtesy-of-@jess.wandering-www.instagram.comeverchanginghorizon-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/4-Image-courtesy-of-@jess.wandering-www.instagram.comeverchanginghorizon-336x420.jpg 336w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8548" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/everchanginghorizon/"> @everchanginghorizon</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>Yosemite National Park in California has many lakes, reservoirs, and even rivers. This is the place to unplug as they say. Camp and hike near the lovely lakes and waterfalls.</p>
<p>The most accessible of these lakes is Tenaya Lake. Here you can go canoeing, swimming, have a picnic or simply hang out. Mirror Lake is said to be one of the park’s most beautiful lakes due in part to the way it so clearly reflects Mount Watkins and Half Dome. Don’t forget to see Half Dome and Glacier Point either.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2> The Bonneville Salt Flats</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8549" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8549" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-8549 size-full" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/5-2.jpg" alt="" width="630" height="788" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/5-2.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/5-2-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/5-2-336x420.jpg 336w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8549" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/karl_shakur/"> @karl_shakur</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>Salt flats (a.k.a. salt pans) aren’t meant for swimming but are worth a visit nonetheless. The Bonneville Salt Flats are the largest ones you can find west of the famous Great Salt Lake. In prehistoric times, this was a big lake.</p>
<p>If you visit in the winter, the pan actually contains almost one inch of water. It gives it a glassy, ethereal look. Scenes from many motion pictures are shot here specifically because of its intense, otherworldly sheen.</p>

<h2> The Lakes in Vail</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8551" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8551" style="width: 700px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-8551 size-full" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/6-2.jpg" alt="" width="700" height="875" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/6-2.jpg 700w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/6-2-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/6-2-696x870.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/6-2-336x420.jpg 336w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8551" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/karl_shakur/"> @karl_shakur</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>Vail, Colorado is a quaint mountain town with a European feel. Built to resemble a European mountain resort, it is said by some travel bloggers to look like a pedestrian-friendly village square complete with restaurants and boutiques. Visit in the summer and you can go canoeing in the numerous surrounding lakes such as Booth, Gore or Piney Lake. You can go hiking and ride the gondolas and take in the mountain views and in the winter ski the back bowls.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2> Lake Powell</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/1-11-690x1024.jpg" alt="" width="690" height="1024" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-9016" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/1-11-690x1024.jpg 690w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/1-11-202x300.jpg 202w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/1-11-768x1140.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/1-11-696x1033.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/1-11-283x420.jpg 283w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/1-11.jpg 776w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></p>
<p>Lake Powell straddles the border of Arizona and Utah. It’s a reservoir on the mighty Colorado River. Veteran visitors say you simply must visit it at least once in your lifetime.</p>
<p>It is pristine and truly looks as if it is untouched. Be sure to take some time to see the Rainbow Bridge, too. It is one of the world’s largest naturally occurring bridges. And you can swim in it, which is hard to believe since it looks so pristine and untouched.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2>Lake Superior</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8553" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8553" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-8553" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/8-2.jpg" alt="lakes" width="630" height="787" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/8-2.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/8-2-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/8-2-336x420.jpg 336w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8553" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/everchanginghorizon/"> @everchanginghorizon</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>Lake Superior in Michigan is best visited during the fall. For it is then that the nearby foliage is a virtual rainbow of warm colors. Lake Superior is famous for being the largest of all the Great Lakes. In the southeast area of the lake, you will discover popular Spray Falls. Specifically, it is situated in the little town of Munising. The crystal-clear blues and turquoise water looks as if it came from the Caribbean.</p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2> The Telluride Lakes</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8554" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8554" style="width: 700px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-8554" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/9-1.jpg" alt="" width="700" height="876" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/9-1.jpg 700w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/9-1-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/9-1-696x871.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/9-1-336x420.jpg 336w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8554" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/everchanginghorizon/"> @everchanginghorizon</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>Breathtaking Telluride is ensconced within the stunning San Juan Mountains in Colorado, is about as and exciting as it gets. Visit the many mountain springs. Be sure to see the Blue Lakes, Hope Lake, Island Lake, Navajo Lake, and Silver Lake. After seeing all the pretty green and blue lakes, be sure to stop in at the charming town center. Stop in the chophouses, the gourmet eateries, and the saloons too.</p>

<h2> Redfish Lake</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8555" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8555" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-8555" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/10-@moonmountainman.jpg" alt="" width="630" height="788" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/10-@moonmountainman.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/10-@moonmountainman-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/10-@moonmountainman-336x420.jpg 336w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8555" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of www.instagram.com/@moonmountainman</figcaption></figure>
<p>Redfish Lake is located near Stanley, Idaho. More specifically, this alpine lake is situated at the very base of the Sawtooth Mountains found in Custer County, a bit south of Stanley. The lake was originally named after the sockeye salmon that used to return from the Pacific Ocean in such great numbers that during spawning season the water itself appeared to turn scarlet. Today only a small number of the salmon manage to navigate through the hydroelectric dams along the route back to spawn there.</p>

<h2>The Alpine Lakes</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8556" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8556" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-8556 size-full" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/11-1.jpg" alt="" width="630" height="786" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/11-1.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/11-1-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/11-1-337x420.jpg 337w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8556" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of @karl_shakur</figcaption></figure>
<p>The Alpine Lakes in the Pacific Northwest is part of a large wilderness area found in the well-known North Cascades mountain range, in the northern section of Washington state. Those who have been, report there are a number of notable lakes there in the wilderness. They are Snoqualmie Lake, the Enchantment Lakes, Melakwa Lake, and Mason Lake. Online sources confirm that the entire Alpine Lakes Wilderness is managed by the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in the east and the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in the west.</p>
<h2> Owens Lake</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8557" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8557" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-8557 size-full" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/12-1.jpg" alt="" width="630" height="504" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/12-1.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/12-1-300x240.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/12-1-525x420.jpg 525w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8557" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of @ken_etzel</figcaption></figure>
<p>You’ll find Owens Lake in the Owens Valley. It’s on the eastern side of the famous Sierra Nevada almost five miles south of Lone Pine in California. Owens Lake is a mostly dry one.</p>
<p>Owens contained a significant amount of water until some time in 1913. It was then that the majority of the Owens River was intentionally diverted into the Los Angeles Aqueduct. This caused the lake to desiccate by 1926. At press time, some of the river’s flow has been restored so the lake has a little water.</p>
<h2> Great Salt Lake</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8558" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8558" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-8558" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/13-1.jpg" alt="" width="630" height="786" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/13-1.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/13-1-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/13-1-337x420.jpg 337w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8558" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/everchanginghorizon/"> @everchanginghorizon</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>The famous Great Salt Lake is situated in the northern portion of Utah. It’s the Western Hemisphere&#8217;s largest saltwater lake. It’s also the world’s eighth-largest terminal lake.<br />
On average, this lake spans an area of roughly 1,700 square miles. The lake fluctuates in size due to its significant shallowness. Its recorded size has fluctuated from 950 square miles in 1963 through 3,300 square miles in 1988.</p>
<h2> Mono Lake</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8559" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8559" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-8559 size-full" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/14-1.jpg" alt="lakes" width="630" height="787" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/14-1.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/14-1-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/14-1-336x420.jpg 336w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8559" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of @karl_shakur</figcaption></figure>
<p>You will find Mono Lake in Mono County, California. It is a saline soda lake. Researchers say this desert lake was formed more than 760,000 years ago as “a terminal lake in an endorheic basin.”</p>
<p>It has no outlet so this causes a lot of salt to accumulate there. The salt also makes the water there alkaline. The ecosystem here is surprisingly productive. The lake provides a habitat for 2 million migratory birds every year that eat the alkali flies and shrimp living there.</p>
<h2>Trillium Lake</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8560" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8560" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-8560" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/15-1.jpg" alt="" width="630" height="692" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/15-1.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/15-1-273x300.jpg 273w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/15-1-382x420.jpg 382w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8560" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/everchanginghorizon/"> @everchanginghorizon</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>Trillium Lake is located 7.5 miles away from Mount Hood in Oregon. The lake was formed by a dam erected at the headwaters of the Salmon River, Mud Creek. The dam was built in 1960 by Oregon’s Department of Fish and Wildlife.</p>
<p>The area was originally a portion of the old Barlow Road which was once part of the famous Oregon Trail. It was here that immigrants once used a log road across marshes in order to reach Summit Meadow, a toll station back in the late 1800s.</p>
<h2> Lake Diablo</h2>
<figure id="attachment_8561" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-8561" style="width: 630px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-8561" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/16-1.jpg" alt="" width="630" height="787" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/16-1.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/16-1-240x300.jpg 240w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/16-1-336x420.jpg 336w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-8561" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of @bontraveler</figcaption></figure>
<p>Diablo Lake is ensconced in the North Cascade mountains in the northern part of Washington state. Specifically, it can be found on the Skagit River between Gorge Lake and Ross Lake. This reservoir was created by the Diablo Dam project.</p>
<p>It has an elevation of 1,201 feet above sea level. The lake is actually part of the official Skagit River Hydroelectric Project. If you’re feeling athletic, hike the Diablo Lake Trail, which runs for almost four miles along the northern shore of the lake.</p>
<h2>Lake George</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-8566" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/17-2.jpg" alt="lakes" width="630" height="411" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/17-2.jpg 630w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/17-2-300x196.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /></p>
<p>Finally, Lake George, a.k.a. The Queen of American Lakes is nestled in at the base of the well-known Adirondack Mountains in the northeastern section of New York state. It’s a narrow, long, oligotrophic lake. It drains into the St. Lawrence River drainage basin and Lake Champlain.</p>
<p>The number of people who live there all year is relatively small. The number of residents in the summer, however, is over 50,000. So if you want to avoid crowds the best time to visit is not <a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/americas-20-coolest-summertime-lake-towns/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">summer</a>!</p>

<p>When visiting waterfalls, what people normally expect is to see water flowing over a vertical drop or a series of drops from the high rocks or mountains. However, take things differently as you visit Niagara Falls in Canada. There is more to just sightseeing the astonishing group of <a href="https://earth.esa.int/web/earth-watching/image-of-the-week/content/-/article/niagara-falls-2018">three waterfalls</a> at the southern end of Niagara Gorge. There are surely more things to do and enjoy at Niagara Park. Discover unique attractions and indulge in exciting activities that you would likely cherish.</p>
<p>To help you with your travel plans, check out the following <strong>Top 10 things do in Niagara Falls:</strong></p>
<h3>1. Niagara Cruises</h3>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-7633 aligncenter" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/boat.jpg" alt="" width="960" height="637" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/boat.jpg 960w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/boat-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/boat-768x510.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/boat-696x462.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/boat-633x420.jpg 633w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /></p>
<p>Get up close to the Niagara Falls while on the Hornblower Niagara Cruises. With this experience, you get to bring home a memory like no other. Just the fact that you get to witness right before your eyes, as close as you can get, the spectacular scenery of the vast waterfalls is worth an endless reminiscing.</p>
<p>This <a href="https://www.niagarafallstourism.com/play/falls-experiences/hornblower/">Canada cruise</a> is often included in the “must-do” signature attraction at the Niagara Falls. One way to avail this awesome ride is to get an <a href="https://www.niagarafallstourism.com/attraction-packages/#adventure-pass">Adventure Pass</a>. The pass also allows two-consecutive day pass for WEGO- a bus system which takes a ride from known accommodations to the Niagara Falls attractions, and vice-versa. Prices of the Adventure Pass ranges from free (for children under 5 years old) to $67.00 excluding taxes.</p>
<p>Onboard the Niagara cruises, you do not only get to see the major attractions like the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls. You will also be able to spot the other natural wonders that come along with these falls. This then includes the thundering roar and the beautiful mist of the heavy water drops.</p>

<h2>2. Experience the Frozen Falls</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-7635 aligncenter" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/american-falls-261407_960_720.jpg" alt="" width="960" height="638" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/american-falls-261407_960_720.jpg 960w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/american-falls-261407_960_720-300x199.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/american-falls-261407_960_720-768x510.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/american-falls-261407_960_720-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/american-falls-261407_960_720-632x420.jpg 632w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /></p>
<p>Of course, before trying out other thrilling undertakings within the Niagara Park, experience the marvelous sight of the waterfalls first. It is imperative to take a look at the stagy ice formations at the base of Horseshoe and American Falls. By the way, Horseshoe and American Falls are two of the gigantic waterfalls of Niagara. The other one is the Bridal Veil Falls.</p>
<p>Feel the chill as the magnificent falls of the Niagara River offers a freezing allure. The Niagara Falls in Canada is linked with the US by the Rainbow Bridge. Thus, a Winter-like temperature is felt in both countries’ borders. The temperature-drop is what creates the infamous frozen Niagara Falls. This then offers a distinct sight of ice and snow. Note, however, that the crust of ice may be seen over top, but the water continues to flow underneath.<br />

<p>Better not miss witnessing the Fireworks and Illumination in the Niagara Falls. Every night, the magnificent falls are lit up with creative and incredible rainbow colors. Sometimes, the falls are also lit up in modified colors for some significant causes &#8211; like charities or important campaigns.</p>

<h2>4. Journey Behind the Falls</h2>
<figure id="attachment_7637" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-7637" style="width: 1024px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="wp-image-7637 size-full" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/9456674766_83aeab683c_b.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="683" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/9456674766_83aeab683c_b.jpg 1024w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/9456674766_83aeab683c_b-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/9456674766_83aeab683c_b-768x512.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/9456674766_83aeab683c_b-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/9456674766_83aeab683c_b-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-7637" class="wp-caption-text">photo from <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/just_picture_this/9456674766">Flickr</a></figcaption></figure>
<p>Take a back view of the Horseshoe Falls. To be able to gaze through and stand at the heart of Niagara, you need to bear a thrilling experience in the 130-year-old tunnels. To do this, you have to go through the bedrock after descending 125 feet.</p>
<p>The observation deck also offers an awesome and misty sight of this wonderful gift of nature. The deck is approximately 13-story tall with viewing portals for you to have a firsthand sightseeing experience to at least one-fifth of the gigantic waterfalls.<br />

<h2>5. Try-out the Niagara Helicopter Tour</h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-7638 aligncenter" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/helicopter-285380_960_720.jpg" alt="" width="960" height="580" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/helicopter-285380_960_720.jpg 960w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/helicopter-285380_960_720-300x181.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/helicopter-285380_960_720-768x464.jpg 768w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/helicopter-285380_960_720-696x421.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/helicopter-285380_960_720-695x420.jpg 695w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px" /></p>
<p>What better way to appreciate a spectacular and picturesque sight than seeing its full-view from atop? Well, better not miss a chance and let <a href="https://www.niagarahelicopters.com/">Niagara Helicopter Tour</a> blow your mind away.</p>
<p>Some travelers recommended that you should fly through the 4 State-of-the-art Airbus H130 Helicopters as these are among the safest helicopters in its class. Most helicopters that are used for the flightseeing has stadium-style seating and a floor and windows creatively designed for watching the land and water views. Isn&#8217;t it worth a try to explore Canada’s greatest wonder from above?</p>
<p>The cost of the helicopter ride over Niagara Falls changes over the years. Recently, the price ranges from CA$80 to CA$125 depending on the person’s age. Price, however, seems reasonable for an experience so uniquely satisfying. Imagine soaring high while sighting the green grass, city structures, and the gigantic meltwater drops over the edge of a rocky ice shelf.<br />

<p>The Mistrider Zipline to the falls is a definite go-to for every adventure-lover out there. The ride is 2200 feet long and 220 feet high above the water. It has a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour. Isn’t this activity all you need when you want to have that stomach-drop feeling while looking at the dewy scenery of the Niagara Falls?</p>
<p>Also, worry not as the zip line is not really directly to the falls, as literal as it is named. Instead, it runs alongside the Niagara River Gorge. It is moreover good to try the zip line adventure during autumn. During this season, you can see from above the surreal changing tree colors along the Niagara Gorge.</p>
<p>Fill your soul and fly without feathers!<br />

<p>Taking a peek at the Butterfly Conservatory may be your last, but, of course, not the least destination. Get in into this dreamy haven which has colorful butterflies all-over.</p>
<p>The conservatory is rightfully located on the grounds of Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens. There are over 2000 butterflies from different species sheltered in this tourist attraction.</p>

It also has glass-enclosed pathways that serve as the viewing window of the butterflies’ pupae. This enclosed part is also where the pupae metamorphosed before they take their first flight into the conservatory or into the wild.</p>
