Thanks for your comment! I have also been there but did not take any pictures. (This was before smartphones and lightweight digital cameras.)

As to your claim about the picture used here, you would have to debate that with at least 40 other websites that have used this picture. I know that sometimes professional photographers get creative and have their own perspective and angles. I also know that sometimes photographers take pictures from a specific location to share the view, and also take pictures of the surrounding area as well. Undoubtedly, they see things different than we do sometimes.

Added several destinations to my bucket list based on the article. However, I’ve been to Havasu Falls and the picture in the article is not of Havasu Falls. Although it looks like it was taken along Havasu Creek. That picture doesn’t come close to showing the wonder to be found in Havasu Canyon.

Alamere Falls in CA is so much nicer than many on this list. It’s a tidefall (waterfall that empties to the ocean) that requires 10 miles of hiking but absolutely worth it.

Hi!
For some reason that name sounds very familiar! I think I may have been in that area with the scouts a long time ago. If it’s any help, I generally don’t have the final say on what places make the list and what places don’t.
It might have been on the top 35 or been taken off to avoid have too many NY locations. Maybe it will make the next one if we do one again! Thanks for your comment!
