Hardcore fans of Marvel have been waiting for this one!  Disney California Adventure Park has an exciting Avengers Campus coming!  It will resemble the headquarters seen in the movies and even include a quinjet.

Here park guests will meet Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man, and Spider-Man, ready to train them.  Don’t miss the newest ride, WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure where you will help the web-slinger save the day.

Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Japan

In 2021 the Universal Studios Japan will feature rides based on Mario Kart and Yoshi.  Guests will enjoy a real-life game experience where they collect coins and even power up like Mario!  Guests will even receive a personal Power Up Band that syncs with a special smartphone app.  With the bands, they will be able to compete for the highest score with other park visitors.

Super Nintendo World in Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore is also powering up!  They’re planning to expand and open their own Super Nintendo World.  This real-life Mario game will be opened by 2025.

As this goes to press, there is not much information available on the park’s planned design but some sources believe it will be like that of Japan’s.

Studio Ghibli, Japan

Bet ready to be Spirited Away!  Studio Ghibli is opening its own theme park sometime in 2022.  The park is in the attractive Aichi Prefecture.  It’s the real-life location of the home of Satsuki and Mei from the popular animated film My Neighbour Totoro.

The park stretches over 500 acres.  It’s divided into five different areas–Dondoko Forest, the Great Ghibli Warehouse, The Hill of Youth, Witch Valley, and Mononoke’s Village and is being developed around the existing flora.

Universal Orlando’s new Jurassic World VelociCoaster

You’ll discover a new ride at Universal Orlando’s popular Jurassic World next year.  It’s going to be the company’s steepest roller coaster drop yet!  A must-try for any adrenaline junkie, as you launch at almost 70 miles per hour in 2.4 seconds.  It will include an 80-degree fall at almost 115 feet, a 360-degree barrel roll, and an upside-down zoom at almost 100 m.p.h.

The Harry Potter Studio Tours in Tokyo

The former Toshimaen amusement park in Tokyo will be resurrected in 2023 as a Harry Potter theme park.  This park will be the Asian’s first Warner Bros. Studio Tour and similar to London’s Studio Tour. 

Here Poiierheads will become privy to all the movie magic behind the hit Harry Potter films and see recreations of sets at Wizarding World.  Unlike the well-known Universal Studios Japan, here you’ll see some original costumes, props, and sets too!

The Game of Thrones Studio Tour, Northern Ireland

The Game of Thrones Studio Tour will be opening in Banbridge in 2021.  There within Linen Mill Studios, you will be able to explore the medieval fantasy world portrayed in numerous scenes of the popular HBO series. 

See such iconic sets as the Courtyard in King’s Landing, the  Dragonstone’s Throne Room, and the Map Room and genuine props, set pieces, and weapons as well.  Mother of Dragons, isn’t that cool?

The Godzilla Museum in Osaka

Book your trip to Japan soon because here’s another exciting attraction to see there!  Godzilla might initially frighten you but this new addition to the anime theme park, Nijigen no Mori, could make you think twice,  Here you can zipline into the waiting mouth of a massive 120-meter long Godzilla!  Once you’re inside him you must fire missiles at Godzilla’s cells so he can’t ever reproduce. 

Be sure to sample some of the Godzilla-themed food too, such as the Like Japanese curry with Godzilla’s own footprint stamped on the rice!

The World’s Tallest Artificial Climbing Wall in Copenhagen

Visit the adventure recreation site, CopenHill, and conquer the tallest artificial climbing wall on the planet.  You can scale 85 meters to take in a beautiful bird’s eye view of the famous city.  The wall resembles an actual mountain and includes several overhangs.  It’s quite a challenge and you must be over 18 and have the proper certification to even attempt the climb.

Japan’s Tallest Observation Deck in Tokyo

The world’s largest city will also be home to the world’s tallest building in 2027.  Aptly named Torch Tower, this 395-meter skyscraper looks like a lit torch.  From the “flames”, you can enjoy incredible views of Mount Fuji and Tokyo.  This observation deck includes an indoor hill to simulate a mountain top.  The building also includes offices, a boutique hotel, and a bathhouse as well!

Greenhouse Starbucks in Yomiuriland

Japan is famous for having the most beautiful Starbucks in the world.  You’ll find the newest one decked with flora in the famous Hana Biyori greenhouse.  It’s a veritable garden café complete with ferns, trees, floral chandeliers, and a lot of natural light.  

The cafe also includes an eight-meter tank full of colorful coral fish.  Get there early if you want a seat by the fish tank.  Be sure to explore the colorful park too, of course.

The Sky Lagoon in Iceland

Put this place on your bucket list for Spring 2021.  This beautiful lagoon is in Kársnes Harbour mere minutes from Reykjavík.  It is highlighted by a great geothermal pool complete with a swim-up bar.  Additionally, this 70-meter infinity pool provides guests with an incredible unobstructed view of the glistening Atlantic Ocean.

The Underwater Museum in Greece

A ship delivering wine to the people of Northern Greece sunk off the island of Alonissos in 425 BC.  Considered by some to be the “Parthenon of shipwrecks”, the vases on the ship were mainly intact. 

The most recent organized dive tour ended on October 2nd.  Still, the authorities say they’re planning a diving park here.  Those who don’t dive can take a virtual diving tour at the Alonissos’ information center.

The Museum of Underwater Art, Australia

If you like diving then visit the Museum of Underwater Art in Townsville.  Located 60meters beneath the sea on the Great Barrier Reef, here you will discover colorful corals, blacktip reef sharks, stingrays, and turtles. 

More importantly, you will be able to see the work of underwater sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor in the memorable John Brewer Reef Coral Greenhouse and even learn about reef conservation.

The Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo

Next year, visitors will be able to explore the mystery and beauty of Egyptian history at the largest archaeological museum in the world.  The new Grand Egyptian Museum will span 480,000 square meters and overlook the famous Giza pyramids.  Those in the know say the most popular attraction is expected to be the Tutankhamun collection.  It will feature 5,400 objects that were found in the famous pharaoh’s tomb.  There will also be a conference center, assorted eateries, and even retail outlets.

The M+ Museum in Hong Kong

Hong Kong will have its own new art museum next year in the West Kowloon Cultural District.  It will be similar to the Tate Modern in London and New York’s renowned Museum of Modern Art.  The new M+ Museum will include a variety of modern art from various visual arts to different digital works focused largely on Asian culture.  

Restored Notre Dame Cathedral in France

The world was in shock when the famous Notre Dame Cathedral was damaged by a big fire,  People were actually concerned that the iconic attraction would never, ever be the same again.  Fortunately, after an entire year of serious assessment and careful planning. There’s surprisingly good news.  The 850-year-old cathedral will reportedly be restored to all its former glory by the year 2024.
