<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Hoping to enjoy just one more fun, sunny afternoon before summer&#8217;s end? There are plenty of places where you can still make one more big splash before autumn arrives. In fact, here, just for you, are 12 really cool natural water slides across the USA.</span></p>
<h4><em>12 Really Cool Natural Water Slides Across The USA</em></h4>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">1.  Franconia Falls and The Lower Falls, Lincoln, and Conway, New Hampshire</span></h3>
<figure id="attachment_12658" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-12658" style="width: 666px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-12658" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/1-YouTube.jpg" alt="" width="666" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/1-YouTube.jpg 666w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/1-YouTube-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/1-YouTube-559x420.jpg 559w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/1-YouTube-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/1-YouTube-265x198.jpg 265w" sizes="(max-width: 666px) 100vw, 666px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-12658" class="wp-caption-text">Image courtesy of YouTube</figcaption></figure>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You can take a scenic drive along Kancamagus Highway or hike in three miles if you wish. These waterfalls and natural slides are situated along the edge of the verdant White Mountain National Forest. There are also big rock slabs for drying out after the fun. Don’t miss the popular 20-foot granite slide that thrusts you through a chute into a pool that’s seven feet deep. The Lower Falls, about 25 miles away, offers less steep options.</span></p>

<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Slide Rock State Park, near Sedona, Arizona</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12659" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/2-wiki.jpg" alt="" width="673" height="505" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/2-wiki.jpg 673w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/2-wiki-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/2-wiki-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/2-wiki-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/2-wiki-265x198.jpg 265w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 673px) 100vw, 673px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It took Mother nature less than 8 billion years to create this natural water chute. It was once part of an irrigation system for a local apple orchard. Today it not only offers visitors a break from the heat but also provides memorable views of the rugged surrounding canyon walls. This waterslide is 80 feet in length and is lubricated by algae that cling to the crimson rocks. </span></p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Tenaya Creek Waterslide, Yosemite National Park, California</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12660" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/3-flickr-1.jpg" alt="" width="751" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/3-flickr-1.jpg 751w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/3-flickr-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/3-flickr-1-696x463.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/3-flickr-1-631x420.jpg 631w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 751px) 100vw, 751px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 100-foot-long granite Tenaya Creek Waterslide is not one of the advertised tourist stops here. It’s a secret of sorts and is too dangerous for children. You’ll find it about two miles off the Tioga Pass road.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You can park at the well-known “sunrise trail” and hike in from there. The best time to go is in late summer. So what’re you waiting for?</span></p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Sliding Rock, Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12661" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/4-wiki-1.jpg" alt="" width="676" height="505" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/4-wiki-1.jpg 676w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/4-wiki-1-300x224.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/4-wiki-1-562x420.jpg 562w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/4-wiki-1-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/4-wiki-1-265x198.jpg 265w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 676px) 100vw, 676px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You’ll find Sliding Rock less than an hour from Asheville. It’s an exciting 60-foot natural “Slip ’N Slide” that propels people into a seven-foot-deep pool.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The slide is actually open all year long during daylight hours, but who wants to brave the cold water in the winter? It’s most popular between late May through September. Business hours are from 10 am to 6 pm. There is a $2.00 admission charge. Lifeguards are on duty.</span></p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">White Oak Canyon, Robertson, Virginia</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12662" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/5-flickr.jpg" alt="" width="749" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/5-flickr.jpg 749w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/5-flickr-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/5-flickr-696x465.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/5-flickr-629x420.jpg 629w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 749px) 100vw, 749px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">White Oak Canyon is located in Shenandoah National Park, in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Hike the two-mail Cedar Run Trail to the five natural waterslides known as Cedar Run Falls. The first chute you encounter is good for kids. The larger slides are beyond that. You can also visit the White Oak Falls if you backtrack to the popular Cedar Run link trail. Swimming isn’t allowed there but they’re still impressive.</span></p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Little Backbone Creek, Near Shasta Lake, California</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12663" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/6-flickr.jpg" alt="" width="749" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/6-flickr.jpg 749w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/6-flickr-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/6-flickr-696x465.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/6-flickr-629x420.jpg 629w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 749px) 100vw, 749px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Shasta Lake is approximately one hour north of Redding. This reservoir includes one of the best natural waterslides in the northern part of the state. Take a kayak or boat to the creek’s mouth. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Then hike up the canyon for almost 20 minutes. At the end of the hike, you’ll find the waterslide. It’s short but fun and you should know that the minerals in the rocks could stain your swimsuit.</span><br />

<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Opal Creek, Lyons, Oregon</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12664" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/7-flickr-1.jpg" alt="" width="749" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/7-flickr-1.jpg 749w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/7-flickr-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/7-flickr-1-696x465.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/7-flickr-1-629x420.jpg 629w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 749px) 100vw, 749px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Opal Creek is east of Salem, and about 2.5 hours out of Portland&#8217;s old-growth Willamette National Forest. It includes a smooth, 20-foot-long rock with rushing water that propels you into a blue pool. Mind you, it&#8217;s a mid-level three-mile hike on the main trail to get there, but definitely worth it. You’ll need to purchase a Northwest Forest Pass in order to enter the forested property.</span></p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Meadow Run, Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12665" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/8-flickr.jpg" alt="" width="749" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/8-flickr.jpg 749w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/8-flickr-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/8-flickr-696x465.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/8-flickr-629x420.jpg 629w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 749px) 100vw, 749px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You can find this great 100-foot water slide in popular Ohiopyle State Park on Laurel Highlands southside. Unlike some of the water slides mentioned here, it’s not at all hidden and even has a parking lot. If you’re into hiking though, you can begin your journey at Cucumber Falls located on the main trailhead. Less than three miles later, you will find the winding sandstone slide. It can be a rough ride. Skimpy swimwear is not recommended. </span></p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Denny Creek, Near Marblemount, Washington</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12666" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/9-flickr-1.jpg" alt="" width="673" height="505" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/9-flickr-1.jpg 673w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/9-flickr-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/9-flickr-1-560x420.jpg 560w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/9-flickr-1-80x60.jpg 80w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/9-flickr-1-265x198.jpg 265w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 673px) 100vw, 673px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Less than an hour’s drive east of the city of Seattle, nestled in majestic Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, is Denny Creek. Here you’ll find not only natural water slides but hiking trails and a waterfall too. The slides are one mile from the actual trailhead. The slides are family-friendly and you can take in the natural beauty of striking about one mile beyond the slides too.</span></p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bridal Veil (Tallulah) Falls, Tallulah, Georgia</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12667" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/10-wiki.jpg" alt="" width="750" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/10-wiki.jpg 750w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/10-wiki-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/10-wiki-696x464.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/10-wiki-630x420.jpg 630w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You’ll need to get a “gorge floor pass” for this visit. They’re free but they only give out 100 passes daily. So get there early and check on the weather because if rain is expected, no one is given passes.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">No pets or small children are allowed and it’s almost a three-mile hike to reach the falls. Parental supervision is required for anyone under 18. The slide consists of 30 feet of smooth rock that plunges you into a deep pool.</span></p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Step Falls, Newry, Maine</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12668" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/11-flickr-1.jpg" alt="" width="749" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/11-flickr-1.jpg 749w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/11-flickr-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/11-flickr-1-696x465.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/11-flickr-1-629x420.jpg 629w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 749px) 100vw, 749px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s a one-mile hike through fir and hemlock trees to reach Step Falls. You’ll also see Wight Brook. This is the well-known Nature Conservancy’s first official preserve in the state. The cascades here are short and small so while it’s not a place for hardcore thrill-seekers, riding the water’s current and dropping into the swimming hole is a fun way to spend the day.</span></p>
<p><strong>(Continued on next page)</strong></p>
<h2><span style="font-weight: 400;">Triangle Lake Rock Slide, Near Junction City, Oregon</span></h2>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-12669" src="https://addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/12-FLICKR-1.jpg" alt="" width="749" height="500" srcset="https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/12-FLICKR-1.jpg 749w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/12-FLICKR-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/12-FLICKR-1-696x465.jpg 696w, https://www.addtobucketlist.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/12-FLICKR-1-629x420.jpg 629w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 749px) 100vw, 749px" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Oregon’s western forests offer several different waterfalls and cliff-jumping spots. But don’t miss Triangle Lake, west of Eugene. It’s a well-marked spot with a parking lot and easy access to this lovely lake rock slide beneath a verdant canopy of native trees. This is also a great place for cliff diving, walking under rushing waterfalls, and relaxing in sparkling soaking <a href="https://addtobucketlist.com/the-35-coolest-pools-on-the-planet/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pools</a>. Some veteran visitors find this place so magical that they say you should not be surprised if you happen to see a goat-man kicking back and playing the lute.</span></p>
