Heading to Southeast Asia? Singapore may very well be the smallest nation there but visitors confirm that the city makes you feel like you have stepped into the future. It is an exceptional blend of both green parks and great architecture.

It is also reported to be one of the world’s cleanest cities. Prior to 1965, Singapore was still part of Malaysia. Singapore certainly has its share of iconic sights. Here are seven things you must do when you visit.

1.Cloud Forest

This Cloud Forest is part of Singapore’s relatively recent “city garden” concept. The Cloud Forest is a forest under a glass dome vaguely reminiscent of something out of the 1971 sci-fi movie “Silent Running.” The dome also contains a waterfall that’s 35 meters high.

Take in numerous rare plants from across the globe. Ride the elevator to the top. Here you’ll find the Treewalk where you can check out all six stories of this fantastic forest. Here you will also learn about these plants and their quickly-disappearing environment. Hours are from 9 am to 8 pm. Admission is $15.00.
